This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented logistics professional who enjoys coordinating complex shipments, working with international vendors and carriers, and ensuring compliance with shipping and trade regulations. This temporary opportunity offers the potential for long-term employment and provides exposure to domestic and international logistics, transportation planning, supply chain operations, and import/export processes.Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator will include:* Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities for domestic and international shipments* Arrange freight movement through various transportation channels and carriers* Evaluate shipping requirements, freight costs, and transportation options for customer orders* Develop and maintain positive relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal departments* Review transportation costs and communicate freight considerations prior to shipment* Ensure compliance with customer shipping specifications and delivery requirements* Create, review, and maintain shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and related records* Assist with import/export compliance and transportation documentation requirements* Monitor shipment activity and proactively resolve shipping or transportation issues* Utilize SAP and related systems to process shipping transactions, inventory movements, and order information* Analyze logistics metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels* Support compliance with C-TPAT, Export Administration Regulations, and other shipping requirements* Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation files* Collaborate with operations, customer service, purchasing, and other departments to support business objectivesQualifications for the role of Logistics Coordinator:* 2+ years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or shipping coordination experience required* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred* Strong knowledge of transportation coordination and freight management practices* Experience with import/export documentation and shipping compliance preferred* SAP experience strongly preferred* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook* Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities* Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs documentation, and trade compliance is a plus* Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments preferredredShift Recruiting is the region's premier recruiting agency with over 100 years of combined experience in the recruiting field.
