Medical Assistant Supervisor

Join Squirrel Hill Health Center as a Medical Assistant Supervisor in Brentwood! Lead, organize, and motivate a team of Medical Assistants to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The Medical Assistant Supervisor ensures smooth day-to-day operations, provides support and training, and works collaboratively with clinicians and staff to uphold SHHC's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate Medical Assistant activities, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure efficient patient flow and adherence to clinical and quality control procedures.
• Serve as on-site trainer for Medical Assistant skills and orient new staff.
• Maintain and audit medical supplies, inventory, and equipment.
• Conduct HIV and vaccine reporting as required.
• Provide direct patient care and support clinicians as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a multi-provider medical practice preferred
• FQHC experience preferred
• Proficient with EHR systems, communication, and organizational skills
• CPR certification
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including evenings and Sundays, and to travel across SHHC sites
• Commitment to SHHC's mission and ability to obtain all required immunizations
